Abstract
결론
전치부 반대 교합을 동반한 제 Ⅲ급 부정 구합의 해소를 위해 연세대학교 치과대학 부속병
원소아치과에 내원한 초기 혼합 치열기 (Hellman 치령 Ⅲa, 치료시 나이 8.6세) 아동 10명의
치료 전후에 촬영한 측모 두부 방사선 규격사진과 연구 모형을 이들과 동일한 연령 분포를
갖는 정상 교합 아동과 그 변화 양상을 비교 분석한 결과 다음의 결론을 얻었다.
1. 전치부 반대 교합의 해소는 주로 상하악 전치의 치축 경사도의 변화에 의해 개선되었다.
2. 상악골에서 나타난 골격성 변화로는 SNA 값이 미량 증가한 양상을 들 수 있으며 이외에
다른 골격성 변화 양상은 확인할 수 없었다.
3. 하악골에서 나타난 변화는 mandibular plane angle과 maxillomandibular plane angle의
증가 양상으로부터 하악골의 후하방 회전이 일어났음을 추정할 수 있었다.
4. Facial convexity angle의 증가와 상순의 전방 이동과 하순의 후방 이동으로 상하순이
Ricketts' esthetic line에 근접하게 되어 구순부 연조직의 부조화 양상이 개선되어 안모의
개선 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.
5. 상악 치열궁은 구치부에서 측방으로 확장되었으며 하악 치열궁에서도 확장 효과를 확인
할 수 있었다.

Among the children(Hellman's dental age Ⅲa) with anterior crossbite, ten successfully
treated with the functional regulator of Fr nkel type Ⅲ were selected for this study.
And their pretreatment and posttreatment lateral head cephalometric films and study
models were compared and analyzed with those of children with normal occlusion. The
results obtained are as follows :
1. The most obvious treatment effects and changes are mainly dentoalveolar.
2. In maxilla, the only , skeletal finding is the slight increase of SUA. Other significant
skeletal change cannot be found .
3. Mandible tends to rotate downward and backward, for there is increase of mandibular
plane angle and maxillomandibular plane angle,
4. The increase of facial convexity angle and the change of the relation of the lips to
the Ricketts' esthetic line lead to improvement of the facial profile.
5. There is some increase of intermolar width at both arches, which shows the lateral
expansion effect probably due to the vestibular shields.
